Volunteer with CJUC 92.5FM

CJUC is built by volunteers.  Whether you want to be on-air, behind the scenes, or helping shape the future of the station, there’s a place for you here.

We are actively recruiting the following:

• On-Air Hosts – Have an idea for a show? Want to share music, stories, or conversations with the community?  CJUC is actively recruiting new show hosts for original, live, hyperlocal programming.  No experience needed – submit your show proposal here!
• Submit your music – There’s nothing like hearing your music on the radio for the first time.  Send your music to info@cjucfm.com, and we will get you on the air.
• Create station imaging – make jingles, sweepers, and station IDs that play on air.  Pick from our ‘bounty-board’ or pitch your own ideas.  This is a great way to get creative and hear your work broadcast. Collect your bounty!
• Photography – We’re always looking for high-quality photos of our hosts, the station, and events.  If you’ve got a camera and a good eye, help us tell the story of CJUC.
• Art & Posters – Are you tired of the AI slop you see everywhere online?  Posters, stickers, t-shirts, anything creative and local. Tag us on instagram or facebook and we’ll share it with our growing audience!
• Fundraising & Partnerships – Our operating budget is super small, which makes us super resilient!  Help us connect with key sponsors and partners so we don’t have to rely on advertiser dollars!
• Events & Outreach – From live broadcasts to local events, this is about getting CJUC out into the community and growing our volunteer base.
• Music & Programming – Help shape the sound of the station, discover and recommend new music and keep our music library up-to-date.
• Technical & Production Volunteers – Like tinkering or solving problems? This is a great fit. Help with studio setup and maintenance, live sound, or contribute to our open source tools (PHP, Python, Linux).
• Governance – Want to have a bigger impact?  Consider joining our board of directors, or joining a committee (programming, fundraising, tech etc) to help shape policy, strategy, and the future of the station!
• Donate to CJUC – Sometimes, you don’t have time to volunteer with all the amazing NGOs in the Yukon.  That doesn’t mean you don’t value them.  Instead of giving us your time, you can help us out with a one time or a monthly subscription. Donate here!
